Peak’s management team combines years of diverse experience in structuring and raising capital as well as their extensive investor relationships and connections.
Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience in the financial markets. After a career in tax advisory (The Inland Revenue and KPMG) he joined Bankers Trust in 1989. His banking career included stints as the head of Syndicate at UBS and head of European and Asian Structured Finance at Bear Stearns and JPMorgan and head of investment banking at Rabobank International. He was one of the founders of Solent Capital Partners, a credit hedge fund which at its peak managed over $7 billion dollars in assets. He met Mark at Bear Stearns in 1994 and they formed PCA in late 2011.
Mark spent 9 years after university working in America and Australia before becoming a banker with Bear Stearns in Jan 1990. He stayed at the firm until it was taken over by JP Morgan in 2008 and was the firm’s longest serving fixed income sale employee in Europe. During that time Mark was responsible for establishing the firm’s Irish operation and was one of the senior marketers in Europe focussing on structured finance solutions for real estate related products in Asia, the Gulf and Central America. Following Bear’s sale Mark joined Nomura and then Aladdin Capital where he established an SME origination and sales platform. That work culminated in the origination and acquisition of Pepper Homeloans in Australia that has subsequently expanded its operations into Ireland, Spain, the U.K. and Korea.
Charles has over twenty years’ experience in the financial sector. He began his career at Bear Stearns in the Financial Analytics and Structured Transactions group before moving into trading. He continued in structured credit at Nomura and was responsible for the managed business in Europe before leaving in 2010. He then spent 2 years working in the Insurance sector before joining PCA in 2013.
Michael has a long career in distressed asset trading. He began in Bankers Trust in 1987 until 1993 as a credit trader when he moved to Hong Kong. After a brief spell with Barings, he joined Sumitomo Finance as Head of Asian Capital Markets encompassing origination, syndicate, trading, sales,and research. He joined Nomura HK in 1998 to run their Hong Kong trading business and after seven years in Asia he returned to London initially with Commerzbank and then to run BNP Paribas’ distressed business from 2003-2009. He then built up Aladdin Capital’s London office and ran that until 2011 when he left to join distress debt specialist Guy Butler. He joined PCA in 2014 to run their Irish real estate business. From 2008-2011 Michael was on the international advisory board of a prominent Irish Property Development and Management company. He is now based in Ireland.
